What Makes Our Cast Iron Skillet Different?
Solid Cast Iron Construction
Made from robust cast iron for excellent heat retention and consistent cooking performance across the entire skillet.
Pre-Seasoned Cooking Surface
Arrives pre-seasoned and ready to prepare for cooking. With correct use and continued seasoning, the surface develops a natural patina that can improve food release over time.
No Conventional Non-Stick Coating
The cooking surface relies on seasoning rather than a conventional synthetic non-stick layer, keeping the construction simple and traditional.
Built for High-Heat Cooking
Cast iron is particularly suited to searing, browning and roasting, retaining heat effectively once brought to temperature.
Hob-to-Oven Versatility
Suitable for gas, electric and induction hobs as well as oven cooking, allowing the same skillet to move between different cooking methods.
Carefully Selected for NEO
Chosen as a durable alternative to conventionally coated cookware, with a solid construction designed to provide years of everyday use when properly maintained.
What is Cast Iron Cookware?
Cast iron cookware is made by forming molten iron into a solid, heavy-duty cooking vessel. Its dense construction allows it to absorb, retain and distribute heat steadily, making it particularly effective for searing, frying, roasting, baking and slower cooking methods.
Unlike cookware that relies on a conventional non-stick coating, traditional cast iron uses a process known as seasoning. A thin layer of cooking oil is heated onto the surface, gradually creating a protective patina. With appropriate care and repeated seasoning, this surface can become smoother and improve food release over time.
Cast iron is exceptionally durable but requires slightly different care from stainless steel. It should be kept dry, protected with a light layer of oil when necessary, and periodically re-seasoned to help maintain the cooking surface and protect against rust.

What you need to know
Why You Should Be Using Our Cast Iron Skillet
Excellent Heat Retention
Once heated, solid cast iron retains heat exceptionally well, making it particularly suited to searing, browning and maintaining consistent cooking temperatures.
Versatile Everyday Cooking
Use it for frying, sautéing, searing, roasting and baking, with compatibility across gas, electric and induction hobs as well as oven cooking.
A Surface That Develops With Use
Rather than relying on a conventional non-stick coating, the skillet uses a seasoned cast-iron surface. Regular cooking and appropriate re-seasoning help develop its natural patina over time.
Designed for Longevity
Cast iron is inherently robust and, with appropriate cleaning, drying and seasoning, can provide many years of regular kitchen use.
A Size for Different Cooking Needs
Available from compact 12.5 cm through to a substantial 31 cm, allowing you to choose the skillet size that best suits individual portions, everyday meals or larger dishes.
The Details
Heat Retention
The dense cast-iron construction stores heat effectively, helping maintain a stable cooking temperature once the skillet is properly preheated.
Naturally Seasoned Surface
The skillet arrives pre-seasoned. Continued cooking and occasional re-seasoning help build and maintain the protective patina characteristic of traditional cast-iron cookware.
High-Heat Performance
Well suited to techniques such as searing and browning, where sustained surface heat is particularly useful.
One-Piece Cast Construction
The pan and handle form part of the robust cast-iron construction, avoiding separate handle materials that can limit how the skillet is used.
Multiple Cooking Methods
Suitable for frying, sautéing, searing, roasting and baking across compatible hobs and in the oven.
Helper Handles on Larger Sizes
The larger 27 cm and 31 cm variants incorporate an additional helper handle, making the heavier skillets easier to lift and manoeuvre securely.
Care & Long-Term Use
Hand Wash After Use
Clean with warm water and a soft brush or sponge. Avoid prolonged soaking, as extended exposure to water can encourage rust.
Dry Thoroughly
Cast iron should be dried promptly after washing. Gentle heating on the hob can help evaporate any remaining moisture before storage.
Maintain the Seasoning
After cleaning and drying, apply a very thin layer of cooking oil when needed. Periodic re-seasoning helps maintain the protective patina and cooking surface.
Avoid Sudden Temperature Changes
Allow the skillet to heat and cool progressively. Significant thermal shock can place unnecessary stress on cast-iron cookware.
Rust Can Be Restored
Surface rust does not necessarily mean the skillet is ruined. It can generally be removed before the pan is thoroughly dried, oiled and re-seasoned.
Designed to Improve With Use
Unlike a conventional applied non-stick coating that can deteriorate with wear, a cast-iron seasoning layer can be maintained and renewed throughout the life of the skillet.

Before First Use:
Although supplied pre-seasoned, wash and thoroughly dry the skillet before first use. A very light application of cooking oil can then be used to reinforce the seasoned surface before cooking.
Important Care Information:
Cast iron can rust if left wet or stored while damp. Do not leave the skillet soaking in water. Dry it promptly after cleaning and maintain the seasoning as required. The skillet and handles can become very hot during cooking, so appropriate heat protection should always be used.
