Steam Distillation | 304 Stainless Steel | Borosilicate Glass Collection Jug | 4L Capacity

A compact countertop water distiller designed to transform everyday tap water into freshly distilled water at home. Water is heated into steam before being condensed back into liquid, leaving many dissolved minerals and non-volatile impurities behind in the boiling chamber. The finished water then passes through an activated-carbon post-filter before collecting in a borosilicate glass jug.

Built around a 304 stainless-steel boiling chamber, with a 4L capacity, 750 W heating system and automatic high-temperature protection, it provides a straightforward way to produce distilled water without plumbing, replaceable multi-stage filtration cartridges or permanent installation.

What Makes Our Water Distiller Different?

True Steam Distillation

Rather than passing water through a conventional filter, the system boils water into steam and condenses it back into liquid. Dissolved minerals and many non-volatile substances do not evaporate with the water and are instead left behind in the boiling chamber.

304 Stainless-Steel Construction

The internal distillation chamber is constructed from 304 stainless steel, providing a durable, corrosion-resistant surface for the heating and evaporation process. This product is (of course) BPA-free.

Borosilicate Glass Collection Jug

Freshly distilled water is collected in a 4L borosilicate glass container, reducing unnecessary plastic contact with the finished water and providing a durable, easy-to-clean vessel for storage and pouring.

Activated-Carbon Post-Filtration

Before entering the collection jug, distilled water passes through an activated-carbon filter positioned at the outlet. This acts as a final conditioning stage for substances associated with undesirable taste or odour.

Automatic Safety Protection

The unit is designed to automatically stop heating at approximately 150°C (300°F) and also incorporates low-water protection. Once refilled, operation can be restarted using the reset control.

Carefully Selected for NEO

Selected for its combination of steam distillation, 304 stainless-steel construction, glass water collection and simple countertop operation — providing a practical alternative for customers who want to produce distilled water at home without installing a permanent filtration system.

What is Water Distillation?

Water distillation is a purification process based on the natural evaporation and condensation cycle.

Water is heated until it becomes steam. During this process, many dissolved minerals, salts and other non-volatile substances remain concentrated in the boiling chamber rather than travelling with the water vapour.

The steam is then directed into a cooling system, where it condenses back into liquid water and is collected separately.

The CO-Z system combines this process with an activated-carbon post-filter, which the condensed water passes through before entering the glass collection jug.

Unlike the NEO reverse-osmosis system, distillation does not remineralise the finished water. Minerals naturally present in the source water are largely left behind during distillation.

What you need to know

Why You Should Be Using Our Water Distiller

Everyday tap water contains naturally occurring dissolved minerals alongside other dissolved substances. Conventional jug filtration can improve certain characteristics of water, but distillation uses a fundamentally different separation process.

- Comprehensive Water Purification — Water is physically converted into steam and condensed again, separating the water from many dissolved and non-volatile substances.

- No Permanent Installation — Simply add source water to the chamber and connect the unit to power. No plumbing, drilling or modifications to your kitchen are required.

- Stainless-Steel Water Chamber — The main boiling chamber uses corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel rather than relying on a plastic boiling reservoir.

- Glass Collection — Finished distilled water is collected in a borosilicate glass jug, helping minimise plastic contact after distillation.

- Freshly Distilled at Home — Produce distilled water when required rather than depending solely on pre-packaged distilled water.

- Designed for Everyday Use — A 4L chamber and approximately 1L/hour distillation rate make the system suitable for regular household water production.

The Details

- 4L Distillation Capacity — The stainless-steel boiling chamber holds up to 4 litres of source water per cycle.

- Approximately 1L/Hour Production — The 750 W heating system is specified to distil approximately 1 litre of water per hour, meaning a full 4 L cycle takes roughly four hours under normal operating conditions.

- 304 Stainless-Steel Chamber — The primary boiling chamber uses 304-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance and straightforward cleaning.

- Activated-Carbon Finishing Stage — Condensed water passes through a replaceable activated-carbon sachet at the outlet before entering the collection vessel.

- Borosilicate Glass Jug — A separate 4L glass collection container receives the finished distilled water.

- Fan-Assisted Condensation — An integrated cooling fan assists the condenser in cooling the generated steam back into liquid water.

- Automatic High-Temperature Protection — Heating automatically stops at approximately 150°C / 300°F, providing protection against overheating once the water has been depleted.

- Simple Reset Operation — Once the system has completed a cycle and cooled/refilled as required, the reset control allows another distillation cycle to begin.

- Easy Descaling — Mineral deposits left behind during distillation can be cleaned from the stainless-steel chamber using the supplied cleaning agent.

Everyday Hydration & Long-Term Use

Designed for regular home use, the CO-Z provides a convenient way to produce distilled water as part of an everyday water routine.

- Everyday Drinking Water — Produce freshly distilled water at home for drinking and general hydration.

- Tea, Coffee & Cooking — Distilled water can also be used for everyday food and beverage preparation where a low-mineral water source is preferred.

- Low-Mineral Water — Because the distillation process leaves most dissolved minerals behind, the finished water has a very different mineral profile from ordinary tap water.

- Other Household Uses — Distilled water is commonly used where mineral deposits are undesirable, including certain humidifiers, steam appliances and other compatible equipment. Always follow the appliance manufacturer's water requirements.

- Designed for Continued Use — The stainless-steel boiling chamber can be repeatedly cleaned and descaled, while the activated-carbon post-filter can be replaced as part of routine maintenance.

- Straightforward Maintenance — Unlike a multi-stage filtration system, the principal maintenance is cleaning mineral residue from the boiling chamber, keeping the collection jug clean and periodically replacing the carbon filter.

For continued performance, do not allow heavy mineral scale to accumulate inside the boiling chamber. Cleaning frequency will depend on the hardness and mineral content of the source water.

Important Notes:

- Distilled Water is Demineralised — Distillation removes the majority of naturally occurring dissolved minerals along with other non-volatile dissolved substances. This product does not remineralise the water.

- Distillation and VOCs — I would not claim that distillation alone universally removes VOCs. Some volatile compounds can evaporate with water and potentially carry into the condensate. The activated-carbon finishing stage is therefore an important part of this system.

- TDS is Not a Contaminant Test — A low TDS measurement indicates a low concentration of dissolved solids; it does not identify individual contaminants or independently demonstrate that water is safe to drink.

- Scale is Expected — Minerals and other non-volatile residues separated during distillation accumulate inside the boiling chamber and need to be removed periodically.

- Carbon Filter Replacement — The activated-carbon post-filter is consumable and requires periodic replacement.

- Hot Appliance — The distiller uses a high-temperature boiling process. Allow the unit and remaining chamber water to cool before opening, moving or cleaning it.

- Electrical Appliance — Position on a stable, dry, heat-resistant surface with adequate ventilation and follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.

- Intended Water Source — Use with an appropriate potable mains-water supply unless the manufacturer specifically approves another source.
