Solid Cast Iron | 2-in-1 Design | Pre-Seasoned | Hob, Oven & Open-Flame Suitable
Designed for versatile, everyday cooking, our 4.5L Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Double Dutch Oven combines a deep cooking pot with a functional lid that doubles as a separate cast-iron pan.
The solid cast-iron construction provides excellent heat retention for slow cooking, braising, roasting, baking, frying and searing, while the pre-seasoned surface provides a practical foundation for developing a natural cooking patina with continued use.
Use the pieces together as a covered Dutch oven or separately as two cooking vessels, making it particularly versatile for everything from slow-cooked meals and bread to steaks, vegetables and everyday frying.
Suitable for gas, electric and induction hobs, ovens and open-flame cooking, it's a robust piece of cookware designed for both the kitchen and outdoor cooking.
What Makes Our Double Dutch Oven Different?
Versatile 2-in-1 Design
The deep Dutch oven and multifunctional lid can be used together or separately, giving you two practical cast-iron cooking surfaces in one piece of cookware.
Solid Cast Iron Construction
Built from substantial cast iron for excellent heat retention, making it particularly well suited to slow cooking, braising, roasting, searing and baking.
Pre-Seasoned Cooking Surfaces
Both pieces arrive pre-seasoned with vegetable oil, providing a foundation for the natural patina that develops and can improve with continued use and appropriate care.
From Hob to Oven to Open Flame
Suitable for induction, gas and electric cooking as well as ovens, grills and open-flame cooking, giving you considerably more flexibility than cookware designed solely for the kitchen.
Integrated Cast Iron Handles
Sturdy handles are formed as part of the cookware, providing secure lifting points for handling the substantial cast-iron construction. Appropriate heat protection should always be used when hot.
Carefully Selected for NEO
Chosen for its simple material construction, versatility and long service potential—a practical alternative to cookware that relies on conventional applied non-stick surfaces.
What is a Double Dutch Oven?
A Double Dutch Oven is a versatile form of cast-iron cookware made from two functional cooking pieces. The deep lower pot provides the capacity needed for slow cooking, braising, roasting, soups and baking, while the specially designed lid can be turned over and used independently as a shallow cast-iron frying or baking pan.
When used together, the heavy cast-iron construction helps retain heat while the fitted lid creates an enclosed cooking environment—particularly useful for dishes that benefit from steady, sustained heat.
Its ability to move between the hob, oven and open flame also makes the Double Dutch Oven suitable for both conventional kitchen cooking and outdoor cooking.
Unlike a conventional applied non-stick surface, pre-seasoned cast iron develops a natural patina through seasoning and continued use, which can be maintained and renewed throughout the life of the cookware.

What you need to know
Why You Should Be Using Our Double Dutch Oven
Two Pieces, Multiple Uses
Use the deep pot and lid together for covered cooking, or separate them when you need a second shallow cooking surface. The lid doubles as a practical frying, searing or baking pan.
Ideal for Slow, Even Cooking
Cast iron retains heat exceptionally well once brought to temperature, making the Dutch oven particularly suited to stews, casseroles, braising, roasting and other longer cooking methods.
From Searing to Baking
The same cookware can be used for high-heat searing, everyday frying, slow cooking, roasting and baking—reducing the need for multiple specialised pans.
Suitable for Indoor & Outdoor Cooking
Compatible with induction, gas and electric hobs as well as ovens, grills and open flames, making it useful both in the kitchen and for outdoor cooking.
A Surface You Can Maintain
The pre-seasoned cast-iron surface develops its patina through use and continued seasoning. Rather than relying on a conventional applied non-stick layer, the cooking surface can be maintained and re-seasoned throughout the cookware's life.
Built for Long-Term Use
Solid cast iron is exceptionally robust. With appropriate cleaning, thorough drying and regular seasoning, the Double Dutch Oven is designed to provide years of practical everyday cooking.
The Details
4.5L Deep-Pot Design
The deep lower vessel provides generous cooking space for stews, casseroles, soups, braised dishes, roasting and bread baking.
Functional Skillet Lid
Rather than serving only as a cover, the lid can be turned over and used independently as a shallow cast-iron skillet for frying, searing and baking.
Excellent Heat Retention
The substantial cast-iron construction absorbs and retains heat effectively, helping maintain steady cooking temperatures once properly heated.
Pre-Seasoned with Vegetable Oil
The cast iron is supplied pre-seasoned with vegetable oil, providing an initial protective cooking surface that can be maintained and developed through continued seasoning.
Dual-Handle Design
Integrated handles on both pieces provide practical lifting points, particularly useful given the substantial weight of cast-iron cookware. Handles become hot during use, so suitable heat protection is essential.
Multi-Surface Compatibility
Designed for use with induction, gas and electric hobs, as well as ovens, grills and suitable open-flame cooking environments.
Substantial Cast-Iron Build
At approximately 4.9 kg, this is intentionally heavy cookware. That additional mass contributes to its heat retention but should be considered when lifting, moving and storing it.
Care & Long-Term Use
Hand Wash Only
Clean the Dutch oven and skillet lid by hand using warm water and a suitable brush or sponge. Avoid prolonged soaking and do not place the cookware in the dishwasher.
Dry Immediately & Thoroughly
Moisture left on cast iron can encourage rust. Dry both pieces promptly after washing; gentle heat can be used to evaporate any residual moisture before storage.
Maintain the Seasoning
Once clean and completely dry, apply a very thin layer of cooking oil when required. Periodic re-seasoning helps maintain the protective patina and cooking performance.
Store With Airflow
Ensure both pieces are completely dry before storing. When the skillet lid is stored on top of the Dutch oven, leaving a small amount of airflow between the pieces can help prevent trapped moisture.
Avoid Thermal Shock
Heat and cool cast iron progressively rather than exposing hot cookware to sudden temperature changes.
Surface Rust Can Be Restored
If surface rust develops, the cookware does not necessarily need replacing. Light rust can generally be removed before the cast iron is thoroughly dried, oiled and re-seasoned.
Designed to Develop With Use
The seasoned surface is renewable. With regular cooking and appropriate maintenance, the patina can continue to develop rather than relying on a permanently applied conventional non-stick coating.
